When your macbook tries to drink and drive...What to do next!

The crazy season is upon is and already we have been fixing macbooks that have had a date with their owners beverages. So in turn we have compile a short list of things to minimize the damage when IT happens,

Things to note if your have a spill..

1. Turn it off straight away, do a full shut down.

2. Unplug the Power from the laptop.

3. Quickly mop up any excess liquid you can see.

4. Open the laptop as wide as the hinges will allow, turn the laptop upside down and lay it on some paper towel.

( It should look like an upside down "V".

5. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STEP.... DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON... IT'S TRYING TO TURN IT ON THAT NORMALLY DOES MAJORITY OF THE ADDITIONAL DAMAGE.. DO NOT GIVE INTO CURIOSITY:)

(We all want to hope that it will be ok, but the normal story is ... I let it dry, it worked for a little while and now won't turn on. )

6.Bring it in us, it only takes us an hour or two to Clean up the internal component and it's pretty low cost.

This will normally save you hundreds of dollars.

Follow these steps and you will have done the best first aid you can, to make sure your Macbook lives again.
